Vees To Celebrate Murray Maxwell

It will be a special night this Friday, Oct.9th at the SOEC as your Penticton Vees host the Brandon Wheat Kings. 1st a quick look back to Tuesday:

TUESDAY – Swift Current 3, Penticton 2 (Shootout)

-A tight game Tuesday at the SOEC as Carter Moen’s 2nd goal of the game with under 90 seconds remaining sent his Swift Current Broncos to overtime with the Penticton Vees. OT solved nothing, but, only Kayd Ruedig scored in the shootout as the Broncos edged the Vees 3-2. Graham Jones and Gavin Katz each scored their 5th goals of the season in the 2nd period of this penalty filled game.

FRIDAY – Murray Maxwell Tribute Night

-Tomorrow’s game against Brandon promises to be extra special as the Vees will pay tribute to a Vee for life, Murray Maxwell. We all hope you can make the game, and help do what Murray loved to do…cheer on his hometown team. Puck drop at 7. Tickets at valleyfirsttix.com or the box office of the SOEC.
