Vees Home Cookin’

Your Penticton Vees have a pair of home games this weekend, as they look to improve on their 2-2 start to the regular season. Both games promise to be special at the SOEC.

FRIDAY – Vancouver at Penticton (7pm Puck-drop)

It’s Remax ‘Coats for Kids’ Night tonight as your Vees host the Giants. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used winter clothing to the game in support of BGC Okanagan. Coats, jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves and mittens are part of the wish-list for tonight to help keep local kids in need warm this winter. The game will also feature Penticton boy Mathis Preston back in town with his Giants, and Jarome Iginla’s son Joe, in what should be a great provincial battle!

SATURDAY – Tri-City at Penticton (6pm Puck-drop)

It’s ‘Summerland Strong’ Night as Penticton takes on the Americans. Throughout the game, the Vees will honor local heroes, 1st responders, volunteers and community members who stepped up to support the fire-fighting, and relief efforts in Summerland with the Bald Range wildfire in the summer. A portion of ticket sale proceeds will be donated to those wildfire relief efforts in Summerland. Rising Canadian country star Dawson Gray will also do an intermission performance that definitely should NOT be missed.

See you tonight and tomorrow at the SOEC!
