The Penticton Vees will wrap up their 4 game pre-season tomorrow night in Kelowna taking on the Rockets. The 2 teams met a couple of nights ago, with the Vees posting a huge win:
WEDNESDAY – Penticton 7, Kelowna 1.
-The Vees won the night before with an OT win over Kamloops, in a game where the Blazers dominated early. One night later, and it was the Vees who were dominant in a 7-1 win. Huge game for D-man Giorgos Pantelas, who scored twice and added 3 assists for a 5 point night. Welcome back Tristan Petersen! The Vees re-acquired this fan favorite in a trade in the past week, and Tristan added a pair of goals in the win as well, while Parker Deraney, Peter Banicevic and Gavin Katz also tallied. The game featured a quick overtime as the WHL tries a new overtime rule, and it was Petersen who scored in that extra frame.
After the pre-season the Vees launch their new season next weekend with a pair of games in Prince George, before the home opener against the Kelowna Rockets, 2 weeks from tonight, on Sep.25th.
