Vees Gear Up For Game 5!

The Penticton Vees went into Prince George on Tuesday and Wednesday night, picked up a pair of huge wins to even their best-of-7 2nd round series at 2 games apiece!

TUESDAY – Penticton 5, Prince George 3.

-Things didn’t look good for our hometown boys, down 2-0 after the 1st period in game 3. But…the team rallied to take the lead 3-2, P.G. then equaled the game late, before Brady Birnie’s 2nd goal of the game with under 2 minutes remaining put Penticton ahead for good! Matteo Danis added a goal and 2 assists, while Ryden Evers and Jacob Kvasnicka also found the back of the net. Louis Wehmann also had a strong game with 3 assists.

WEDNESDAY – Penticton 5, Prince George 2.

-With the game tied at 2 late, Prince George imploded and took a number of penalties that resulted in 3 straight power play goals for the Vees, and a 5-2 win to even the series at 2! Ryden Evers and Ethan Weber each had a goal and 2 assists to pace the Penticton attack, while Louis Wehmann, Nolan Stevenson and Brady Birnie rounded out the scoring.

A huge game 5 is tonight at the South Okanagan Events Centre, puck-drop at 7. One team will have a chance to wrap up the series back in P.G. on Sunday night. Gametime will be at 7, and again heard on Summit 800 in Penticton, and 98.5 in Summerland. Go Vees Go!
