Vees Drop 2 In Everett

The Penticton Vees are facing a similar situation as they did in their 2nd round playoff series against Prince George…being down 2 games to none. But, we do know how round 2 ended, don’t we?! Here is a look at their 1st games of the Western Final from Everett:

THURSDAY – Everett 4, Penticton 1.

-It was a pretty tight game one with Everett up on our Vees 2-1 til the midway point of the third period. The ‘Tips added an empty netter and took game one, 4-1. Ryden Evers 7th of the playoffs was the lone goal for Penticton.

SATURDAY – Everett 5, Penticton 4 (2OT)

-An exciting back and forth game 2, saw Rylan Gould score at 6:41 of the 2nd overtime to give Everett the victory, and a 2-0 series lead. Brady Birnie scored twice for the Vees, and has a team leading 8 goals now in the playoffs. Diego Johnson also scored, as did Ethan Weber with a dramatic game tying goal in the last minute of the third period! Despite the loss, it was an amazing game for goaltender A.J. Reyelts, making 48 saves in the 4+ period game!

So, now the Vees are looking to get back into the series with back-to-back home games tonight, and tomorrow! Let’s get over 5,000 at the SOEC, and cheer our boys to wins, and and back into the series. Puck-drop for both games at 7pm, see you all there!
