The Pre-season is underway for your Penticton Vees, and included a split of games with the Kamloops Blazers.
WED. SEP.2nd – Kamloops 4, Vees 3 (Shootout)
-The Blazers rallied from a 3-1 deficit to come back, even the game, and win in a shootout on home ice. New Vee Nate Pederson scored twice for Penticton, while Noah Milford had the other goal. The Vees outshot Kamloops 30-28.
TUE. SEP.8TH – Vees 4, Kamloops 3 (Overtime)
-It was reversal of fortune for this game, as the Vees rallied from a 3-1 deficit to even the game, and then win it in overtime. Tyden Bergeson had the OT winner for Penticton, scoring the winner on a power-play. Gavin Katz added 2 goals and an assist for the Vees, while Noel Parkarinen had the other tally. Kamloops dominated the game early, out-shooting Penticton 15-3 in the 1st period, but, AJ Reyelts put in a solid performance in net w/ 27 saves.
Penticton plays their final pre-season game on home ice tonight, hosting Kelowna, at 6:30 from the SOEC.
