Community asked to help locate missing six-year-old from Beaverlodge

RCMP are asking people across northeastern B.C. and northwestern Alberta to be on the lookout for an abducted six-year-old boy.

Lanakai Morrison is described as having light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in Fort St. John, B.C., at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 9.

Police said the suspect is Krista Morrison, who is five feet eight inches tall with long dark brown hair.

Investigators also believe they may be travelling with 35-year-old Daniel Ludwig, described as a white man who is five feet 11 inches tall with a large build, a shaved head and brown eyes, and four-year-old Karl Morrison, described as a white boy with a slight build, long dirty blond hair and brown eyes.

They may be travelling in a red 2006 Ford F-350 with Alberta licence plate CXW8820.
