Incumbent Mayors Julius Bloomfield of Penticton and Doug Holmes of Summerland will face challengers for their respective positions this October while Osoyoos will have a new face in the Mayor’s chair this fall.
As nominations closed Friday afternoon Bloomfield is one 6 candidates for the mayors role in Penticton . Former Mayor and area MLA Dan Ashton is one of those seeking the top job along with Corey Hounslow ,Jordan Iannone, Beverly Kohler, and Ashley Murrin.
In Summerland Holmes will square off against two other candidates as Lake Dennison and Mark Labossiere will be on the ballot. Osoyoos Mayor Sue McKortoff has chosen to not run in 2026 and there are 6 candidates looking to assume her role. Current Councillor Zachary Poturica is taking a shot at the top job along with Hart Buckendahl ,Dustin Sikora ,Scott Armstrong ,Jim Dinwoodie and Tom Shields
