City of Penticton closes sports fields due to rainfall

The City of Penticton says due to significant rainfall and saturated field conditions, all city operated sport fields and ball diamonds are closed today.

The fields are currently unsuitable for play and must remain closed to prevent damage and ensure safe playing conditions.

Parks staff will continue to monitor field conditions and will provide updates as soon as more information is available regarding reopening timelines.

Residents are asked to respect all closure signage and remain off the fields.
