Posse fall 5-1 to Dynamiters, series heads to Game 7

The Princeton Posse will need a road win in Game 7 after a 5-1 loss to the Kimberley Dynamiters in the KIJHL Cup final.

Ben Dods scored the lone goal for Princeton, his fifth of the playoffs.

Dynamiters head coach and general manager Derek Stuart said the team made adjustments and executed them for the win.

“It was a matter of time until we started getting rewarded for going to the net and getting pucks to the net. We are built for a seven-game series. We’re getting better and better as the series goes on.”

Princeton starter Gibson Horne allowed five goals on 18 shots in 36:15 before being relieved by Sharky Nowek, who stopped all 18 shots he faced.

The Posse were led offensively by Dods, but could not generate additional scoring against Kimberley goalie Adam Kisilevich, who made 24 saves.

Game 7 will be played in Kimberley, on Thursday, April 30.
