B.C. nurses picketed outside Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on Monday as talks with a special mediator were set to begin in the ongoing labour dispute.

The Labour Ministry said Friday that mediators Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers will work with the Health Employers Association of B.C. (HEABC) and the B.C. Nurses’ Union (BCNU) for 10 days in an effort to resolve their contract dispute.
