Updated: Missing man found deceased

The 31-year-old man, Eric Zomar, reported missing Thursday, has been found deceased.

Police said the death is not considered suspicious.

The RCMP offered condolences to the family and friends.

Princeton RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate Eric Zomar, who was last seen in Princeton. Police and his family said his disappearance is out of character and they are concerned for his well-being.

Zomar was last seen at about 4:30 a.m. on April 15 at the Gorman Bros. sawmill in Princeton. He was wearing jeans, work boots and a high-visibility shirt or jacket, and was driving a black two-door Jeep Wrangler.

He is described as 31 years old, 180 cm tall and weighing 73 kg, with a slim build, short brown hair, a moustache and brown eyes.

The vehicle has B.C. licence plate VR896D and a distinctive spare tire cover featuring a cartoon skull and crossbones wearing a yellow hat with a red band.

Anyone who has seen Zomar, knows where he may be, or has information about his whereabouts or his vehicle is asked to contact local police or the Princeton RCMP at 250-295-6911.
