Angelo Isidorou is leaving his role as executive director of the B.C. Conservatives.
Isidorou said in a statement posted to the party’s website on Wednesday that the job has been a highlight of his career.
He said he leaves the team on “amicable and mutual terms.”
“The Hon. Kerry-Lynne Findlay has a fresh mandate from our members and is leading our party into the next chapter. I wish her and her team the very best of luck,” he said.
Isidorou also reflected on how the party had grown since he took on the role in 2022, going from “almost no members at all” to “unprecedented support” and coming close to taking power in the 2024 provincial election.
He encouraged Conservatives to focus on winning elections and forming government.
“I wish Angelo every success as he embarks on his next exciting chapter,” said Findlay in a statement. “I appreciate the continuity he provided during an early transition time as we move forward toward opportunity and prosperity for all British Columbians.”
Several Conservative MLAs lauded Isidorou on social media Thursday for his work with the party.
The party’s former interim leader Trevor Halford expressed his appreciation for Isidorou, calling him a “genuine and decent person.”
