West Kelowna RCMP issued an Amber Alert shortly after midnight Wednesday, July 22, after concerns that a four-year-old boy had been abducted by his mother.
Mounties said they received a report Tuesday, July 21, of a parental abduction. As a result, an Amber Alert was issued across B.C. to help police locate four-year-old Atlas Andrews, who was reported missing from West Kelowna.
RCMP described Ryan Atlas Andrews, who is also known as Atlas, as a Caucasian boy, four years old, standing three feet tall and weighing 51 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Police believe the boy is with his mother, 40-year-old Alisse Andrews.
The Amber Alert said their last known location was on Ridge Boulevard in West Kelowna at about 11:20 a.m.
Police believe they could be travelling in a black 2021 Nissan Qashqai with B.C. licence plate RV003L.
Anyone who has seen Atlas Andrews, or the vehicle, is asked to call 911 immediately.
