Byelection called for Abbotsford-Mission

A date has been set for a byelection that could win the B.C. Conservative Leader a seat in the legislature.

Premier David Eby has called a byelection for the electoral district of Abbotsford-Mission.

The seat became vacant when Reann Gasper resigned as an MLA on August 22, to allow Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay to run for the seat.

Voters in the district will head to the polls on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Information on voting in the byelection can be found here.
