Vees Off To Round 2

The Penticton Vees made Good Friday a great Friday, after posting a 6-3 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds at the SOEC, in front of just over 4200, to book their ticket to the 2nd round of the WHL playoffs.

A pair of 2nd period goals extended a 2-1 lead to 4-1, and the Vees never looked back! It was a great series for Jacob Kvasnicka, who had 9 points in 5 games, and wrapped the series up with 2 goals (including a spectacular penalty shot goal) and an assist in the clinching game. Louis Wehmann also scored twice, while Ryden Evers and Nolan Stevenson added singles. The Vees won the best of 7 affair 4 games to 1.

Up next…the Prince George Cougars for round 2! Games 1 and 2 this Friday and Saturday night, 7pm puck drop from the SOEC!
