Vees Weekend Wrap

The Penticton Vees continue to roll in their inaugural season w/ 2 more wins on the weekend, sweeping the Wenatchee Wild, and bring their latest win streak to 4.

FRIDAY – Vees 4, Wenatchee 1.

-After a scoreless 1st period, Penticton scored 3 times in the 2nd, and coasted to a 4-1 win over Wenatchee in front of just under 3,800 fans at the SOEC Friday night. Louis Wehmann scored twice to pace the Vees, while Jacob Kvasnicka and Matteo Danis added singles. A.J. Reyelt made 17 saves between the pipes for Penticton.

SATURDAY – Vees 5, Wenatchee 3.

-Tristan Petersen’s goal early in the 3rd period broke a 3-3 tie in Wenatchee as Penticton swept a home-and-home series with the Wild, after a 5-3 victory. For the 2nd straight game, Louis Wehmann scored twice for the Vees, while Callum Stone and Matteo Danis also found the back of the net.

Penticton will look for a 5th straight win tomorrow night, when they travel to Prince George to take on the Cougars. Puck-drop at 7, and you can catch the game on Summit 800 in Penticton, and 98.5 in Summerland.
