Vees Weekend

The Penticton Vees back at it this weekend w/ a pair of games, but, 1st a quick review of last week’s home ice win on Nov.21st:

VEES 4 – VANCOUVER 2

-The Vees built a 3-0 lead after the 1st period, and cruised to a 4-2 win over the Giants. Brady Birnie, Diego Johnson, Jacob Kvasnicka and Louis Wehmann all tallied for Penticton, and the Vees outshot Vancouver 33-31.

Tomorrow night, Nov. 28 the Vees will host Indigenous Night at the SOEC when they take on the Vancouver Giants for a 7:00PM puck drop. The Vees will be sporting specialty jerseys for the occasion with an indigenous logo designed by 16-year-old Delaney Gabriel who is part of Sylix Nation and the Penticton Indian Band. The jersey’s will be auctioned during the week following the game with proceeds going to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.

“I would like to thank the Penticton Vees for hosting this event and would like to welcome the community of Penticton and surrounding areas to attend this Indigenous celebration,” said Penticton Indian Band Chief Greg Gabriel.

Vees will hit Kamloops on Saturday night for the 1st of 3 straight games against the Blazers.
